TORRYS OPPONENTS THIS WEEKEND |
Torry are at away to CATARROJA on Saturday kick-off 6.00 pm. Cattarroja are "Rock Bottom" in the table on 27 points, 12 points from safety with 7 games to go. It looks as though there is no way out for them and they will be playing in Regional Preferente next season. Their results are unpredictable though. 2 weeks ago they lost at home 5-0 to 2nd bottom Crevillente and then last week they only went and won 2-1 at league leaders Novelda. Anything can happen but Torry need to put in a disciplined performance with hopefully some real purpose and a bit of attacking verve and come away with all three points.
Torry now lie in the 4th and final relegation place level on points with Denia. Missing through suspension will be Jorge and Villanueva. Rafa will be back though after serving his one match ban. The Manager Joserra will have to watch this match and the next from the stands after picking up a 2 match ban after being sent off last week for a vocal assault on the linesman.

Last Sunday Torry entertained fellow strugglers Eldense who together with 3 other teams were just one point ahead of 4th from bottom Torry. Eldense, who were expected to be amongst the front-runners this season have had a turbulent time having parted company with no less than 3 managers this season. The latest manager Galiana, who played for Torry when they were in the Regional Preferente, accompanied by his assistant, ex-Torry legend Luis Blanco, seem to have turned the tide and the team were unbeaten in the last three games with a couple of 0-0 draws and a 3-0 victory. Torry desperately needed to win this game. In there side were veteran hit-man Kiko Ratten who played at the higher level and scored 34 goals in 65 appearances for Orihuela CF between 2006 and 2008 and also afro haired prospect Aridane who has been watched by scouts from Atletico Madrid & Swansea.
Torry were without Rafa and Villanueva, out through suspension. The Torry manager selected Javi Tur in goal in preference to Manolo and went for what looked like an attacking line-up with young forward Patri getting a start ahead of defensive midfielder Burguillos who occupied the bench along with Luis Carlos, Sergio, Guillem and Manolo.
